Chapter Presentation
E-Discovery and The New World of Civil Litigation presented by William (Bill) Hamilton
October 14, 2008
Donna Read, CRM, President of Florida Gulf Coast ARMA Chapter invites you to Register Now for this presentation:
Presentation Synopsis:
The new Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure have made records management a key to the successful litigation. Without proper records and data management, facts cannot be properly marshaled, nor the case issues properly understood.
Early case assessment is a critical team effort involving Company records managers, IT Departments, and corporate and retained counsel. This assessment requires an identification of potentially relevant data stores and then mining that data to locate the core documents to the claims at issue. The goal is to locate the key data, and not every bit of data on the margins of relevance.
This presentation will focus on building early response teams, emerging search technologies and strategies, and litigation approaches to controlling and shifting costs to the requesting party.
