Round Table Discussion on Green Records Management
Register Here
Join us as we head South across that really BIG bridge for the next meeting!!!!
Thanks to the folks at the Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue District we will be meeting in Sarasota on Tuesday, March 17th for St. Patrick’s Day.
Below, are just some of the headlines of articles that you see today. Everyone is thinking “Green” and asking what can my organization do to help the planet, to create less trash, to really be environmentally friendly?
- 10 Steps to a Greener Office
- Green IT action plans
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
- Environmentally Friendly Destruction of Records
- Buying Energy Efficient Equipment
- Green Regulations; Who Knew?
- Principles for Environmentally Friendly RM
- Attack of the Green Tech Geeks
- Streamlined Data Centers
- Telecommuting is Environmentally Friendly
This meeting will be a different format than our usual presentations that involve just a single speaker. The Board thought it would be helpful for us to have a round table discussion about this topic. We are interested in hearing what other organizations are doing to further environmentally friendly practices, both those that include records management and those that are not specifically about RM.
We will be sharing information about how records management can contribute significantly to the green movement. Many companies are focused on their IT departments and we will also be sharing some specifics about steps that IT is taking.
Please plan to join us in this discussion and if you have something to share with the group please either bring along 30 copies or an electronic version so we can post it on our web site.
